Description

Widely considered a favorite among Fender's mid-sized amplifiers, the Vibrolux Reverb has an unmistakable character that players have long been drawn to. With its 40-watt, 6L6-powered design, it offers plenty of volume to keep up with a band without the added size and weight of larger models. As a 1973 example, it features the post-Blackface circuit and predates the later master-volume designs. The original reverb tank has been replaced with modern equivalents.

This amp is in great condition, showing only minor signs of previous wear. Internally, the power cord, electrolytic capacitors, screen grid resistors, and power resistors have been replaced. All of the coupling capacitors have been changed to high-quality SoZo Blue caps, while the majority of the resistors have been replaced with modern carbon-film equivalents. Please see the internal photos for further details.

Fortunately, these changes haven't taken away from its vintage character, and it remains an exceptional-sounding amplifier at a fraction of the price of its earlier Blackface counterparts. As a neat bonus, this amp was previously owned for many years by beloved Nashville guitarist and Premier Guitar personality John Bohlinger!
